My university is trying to improve their Bike Friendly University rating. We would like to be able to compete with other participating universities (particularly Big 12 organizations) to entice friendly competition across college campuses.

From what I've gathered, this is not a feature that your platform offers. Creating a challenge that is specific to college campuses could greatly encourage students to bike more and would increase the traffic to your platform, getting young adults more involved in Strava. A challenge like this could track carbon footprint by displaying emissions that users are avoiding by riding or walking around their campus. This could be a collaborative project with big brands such as Hoka, Trek, Brooks, Specialized, etc., or other local companies in proximity to the universities participating in such a challenge.

Universities and their students, staff, and faculty across the country are becoming increasingly interested in sustainability issues. An initiative like this could be a great way to engage people with their campus, environment, and your app. Additionally, this could provide helpful tracking data for other local initiatives that reward individuals who exhibit active lifestyle choices. For example, the HealthQuest program in the state of Kansas offers monetary incentive for state employees who participate in weight and chronic health management activities, which could be logged through Strava.

I believe that a project like this could be beneficial for your company and all of those who participate in it.
