When using Fenix 7 to log a ride, then ride time becomes shorter in Strava then garmin express. Resulting in lots of wrong data output from Strava. Approx 30% less ride time in Strava. Anyone have a solution/explanation for this??

Strava has calculations of its own if someone pauses or not. in your case there were probably GPS outages in large chunks of the activity and for Strava that means, you didn’t move in that time, even though the watch had continued recording. Garmin Connect on the other hand respects the decision of the watch.

You can’t really do something about that. In case you wonder why the distance is the same in GC and Strava, that is because Strava uses the distance from GC without recalculations.

Ciao @Slilledal. 30% seems a bit high. You should be aware that Strava usually rounds down the mileage but we're talking about hundreds (meters). What are your numbers?

Ciao, could it be related to the difference on GC between elapsed time and the timer that consider just the time during activity?

No sorry, that’s out of the question. Same thing happens with my wife’s Fenix 7s

Are there big gaps in the recording? Strava would see that as pauses.

Yes. Strava shows gaps but Garmin connect doesn’t

Looks like in statistic in GC it says moving time under 50% of total time. Is the settings on watch wrong. Find this very strange. Your answers and help is very appreciated
