I’m having the same problem as described in this ticket.

That ticket was marked as “solved”.

Could you elaborate on that solution, please?

Thanks,

Benoit.

Why don’t you write that in the mentioned thread (it’s not a ticket by the way) and ask the thread creator if they got a solution? You can tag them with @

@Jan_Mantau The other thread is locked

@arc88 Thanks for mentioning that! Strangely I have looked actively for exactly that yesterday and I didn’t see the lock but a textbox to answer. Anyway, @MPArends , did you got a solution for that problem?

@BenoitSomers The other thread suggested contacting support directly. Did you already do that? It may also be that your phone’s compass is a little off. Try going outside, somewhere free of large metal structures if possible and try some of these tips: https://calibratecompass.com/ The method should be similar regardless of what device type you use.

Thanks for that reply - I’ll try it out!

I would also be interested to hear how they have “solved” this.

This has been a bug in Strava on iOS since at least 2020 when I started using Strava. I stopped using Strava for live recording for a few years (got a proper head unit) but have had to use it again a few times this month and the bug is still there, all these years later on a totally different (newer) iPhone with a much newer version of iOS.

The problem has nothing to do with nearby structures and doesn’t impact other apps (e.g. Google Maps, pUniverse, etc...).

(I will also submit a ticket and share if I learn anything.)

I have the same issue. Why can’t Strava just write how to fix it, rather than having us all contact Support individually?

Solution wanted :)

How to even contact Support?
