I’m trying hard to except EMTB’s as I see how they can be good for people to get out and enjoy nature, however I do have a problem that I pay for Strava just like everyone else but then have an ebiker post as a regular ride.  I work hard to get top 10 times so when I see an ebiker have a better time than I do and take that top 10 time, it causes me to hate said ebike.  Strava needs to clamp down on this problem.

If you encounter ebike rides on unmotorized segments that the Strava AI didn’t flag automatically you should report the activity in the app or in the web browser for using the wrong activity type.

I actually submitted a flag earlier, but Strava responded within minutes stating they were unable to determine a policy violation. I followed up by providing screenshots of the activities from two different individuals over the past week, including photos of their bikes. Their own images clearly indicated they were riding e‑MTBs, which made the situation quite clear.

As @Jan_Mantau said, if you see an activity that you know was completed on an e-bike that is listed in as an analog bike, you should “report” the activity.  Another thing you can do if it is the same person repeatedly is to reach out to them via a comment on their activity reminding them to change the activity type to “e-bike”.  E-bikes have their own activity type and set of segments.  If they do not change their behavior, you can report the profile to Strava (submit a ticket) so they can look into it and address it.  I have had success with this in the past, so it is an option that does work, although may take a little more time for them to work through it.

How did you submit the flag?  I have never had Strava respond when I have flagged an activity, so wondering if you did something different.  Did you report the specific activity or the person’s profile?  Typically, if you see an activity where it looks like the person use the wrong activity type, you would go to the activity, click on the three dots on the left and select “report activity”, then select “Questionable Activity Data” from the list and select “Wrong Activity Type” or whatever best describes the issue.

Again, I have never had Strava respond to a report and I flag a lot of “wrong activity type” activities all the time, so just curious if you are using a different process.

I believe I used misleading information which may be the reason.  I went back and did it the way you are saying as well and didn’t get a response.  I’m glad I got the email though so that I could send pics etc.  The times from the two rides I flagged never came back up so I’m thinking that’s a good thing.
