Since the last update, my heart rate date is not being saved. and used to calculate fitness levels, etc. at the end of my ride. My Polar Sense monitor is synced with Strava and shows while I am riding, but at the end of my ride and saved, it does not show in my recorded activity, along with all other aspects.

It has always worked just fine, but the last 2 rides after updating the app, it no longer shows.

This is using an iPhone 16 with the Strava app.

I’m experiencing the nearly exact same thing; the only difference is that I am using a Wahoo HR Monitor.  Starva was working as it is supposed to on my Iphone 16 on May 25.  Now, it shows that the HR monitor is connected, it shows the HR information while working out, but in the end, no HR information is retained. Grrrr.  I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application, restarting the Iphone, disconnection and reconnection the HR monitor.  Nothing works.  I suspect the last iphone software update broke this important function.  Thank you, damaltor, for posting.

Update: I have two iPhones, one I updated and one I didn’t.  The one that was NOT updated with the June 3, 2025, iPhone Strava App update, version 414.0.0, works perfectly (records HR data).  The one that was updated  (An iPhone 16) with Version 414.0.0 does not work correctly.

I have created a support ticket with this story. Request #3378857

Hi, this seems to be a widespread issue - let's try keeping the discussion in one thread, here:

I’ve asked the moderators to review and to bring it up with the engineering team, fingers crossed that this is fixed soon.

Tried all the same… uninstall, reinstall, etc. Nothing works.

Using an iPhone 16, w/ ios18.5, everything within the app was working as expected. Did a ride the morning of June 5th, HR data was recorded, updated the app to 414.0.0 that evening, next day’s ride (June 6th) the HR data not saved. Did a bunch of troubleshooting, rode yesterday (June 8th), still no HR data being saved. While recording my rides, the HR is being shown, my HR monitor is connected, but no HR data being saved at the end of the session.Hope this gets resolved,it is one of the key reasons I use Strava.

I am having the same issue with heart rate data. My HRM hooks up as usual without any problem and shows my HR properly throughout the workout, but then fails to save it.

For me, my app is also making whacky calculations for relative effort and fitness, which suggests a bigger programming issue in the background.

My Saturday ride for example, which was a very typical ride for me over one of my standard ‘routes’ resulted in a 12 point Fitness increase and a 384 relative effort!  This ride would normally be a 1 - 2 point fitness increase and maybe 80 - 100 RE.

All problems started for me after the latest app update.

I am on an iPhone 15 Pro running iOS 18.5.

Hey Everyone,

I can confirm this is a known issue that is currently being worked on.
All updates on this issue will be made within the following thread moving forward.
