I would like to ask about my Strava connection with Amazfit. I’m getting an “error connecting your device” message, even though the Zepp app is already linked to Strava. The activity data is syncing automatically to Strava, but my gear (like Garmin) is not detected in Strava

Anybody help me?
The volunteers here like myself shy away from the low budget watches, that's why you didn't get many replies to your question. I'm sorry I had to put it that way.
Which app is giving you that error, Strava's app or Zepp? Also, what do you mean when you say the gear is not detected like Garmin? You said you got your activity data to sync, so you're 90% of the way there. What Garmin product are you using that you think isn't being detected?

Hi
Thanks for taking the time to respond.
I understand that some may avoid budget watches, but this issue isn’t about price or product tier. The Amazfit BIP 6 is a newly released model.
What I meant is that the gear name (Amazfit BIP 6) doesn’t show up in Strava, even though the activity data syncs automatically through Zepp. I mentioned Garmin just as an example, because their gear is usually recognized by name in Strava.
To clarify further, even a Huawei Fit watch, which is also relatively affordable, can still display its name as gear in Strava, as shown in the first screenshot I shared. So my question is really about how to get the Amazfit BIP 6 to be recognized and displayed as gear in Strava, not just “uploaded from Zepp.”

You should check this topic which has the same problem: #Issue with Amazfit GTR 2 Not Displaying as Device on Strava/Problema com GTR 2 não exibido no Strava
This sounds a little bit like the problem I had when I purchased a newly released Garmin head unit... the make and model wouldn't appear on the activity page. I opened up a helpdesk ticket and this was their response:
"Thank you for contacting Strava. Sorry the data from your device is not being recognized properly on Strava. We do not have this device mapped in our system yet - which can cause your activity statistics to appear differently from what you see on the original platform you use.
I've filed a ticket for our engineers to add this model to Strava. Thank you for your patience."
It took them two weeks to add it to their system, then the name started to show up. I think that's what you're going to have to do -- open up a new help ticket.
