Hi, when i upload a winter activity, like backcountry ski, on the mobile version of the app appears a winter 3d map. Sometimes, depending where the activity was performed, the orientation of the map is wrong and i barely see any of my track. There is the possibility to self orientate the map? Thank you

Another vote for returning the button, otherwise how do you return to the correct orientation after rotating the map?

Another vote for the return of the compass. It's very frustrating not being able to see which way is north.

Definitely want this back - it should be a simple change and makes the map infinitely more usable!  Especially given that the default orientation seems to be random depending on the activity.

​@Jane  is there an update on the status of this? Please bring this back ASAP. It sucks when updates lose functionality.

Of all the awful changes to map functionality on the last major update the lack of a compass and any means to orient NORTH to the top of the screen are the most asinine. Cannot believe it’s been over a month and nothing has been done about this. What a joke.

Please add the North orientation by adding a compass. It’s a real thing

On the latest versions of Android at least the compass has been reinstated. There’s also this thread about it, surprised they haven’t been merged yet.
