From every sentence where I used an emoticon, it disappeared. And the word before the emoticon disappeared as well. Does anyone have the same problem? It never happened to me.

Aldo some other activities from my friends have the same problem.

I have noticed this (sort of) as well. For 6 weeks I've been adding a description which tracks my rolling 7 day distance, vert, hours etc. This worked as recently as 16 hours ago. Today, the distance is blank for ALL activities from the last 6 months (the line has an emoji). Interestingly, the vert gain field also has an emoji and the data is still there....

I've got the same problem. It used to work last week but now whenever I have a word ending in kg (like when noting down weights) the words disappear from the description in the feed. When looking at the activity the words are back, but when editing they disappear again.

This is likely related to Strava's recent update to remove URLs from activities. There are several other threads on the topic.

Hello all, please find more information regarding this here. Thank you.

Did anyone find out the fix for this?  Anytime I try to use an emoji in a comment or in a run description it cuts out several words before and after the emoji.  On a run description if I edit and redo it multiple times it will eventually accept the emoji.  On comments it doesn’t appear fixable and looks odd when the sentence ends halfway through.  I see other people’s comments and descriptions have emojis in them so it must work for some people?  Just wondering if I need to re download the app, change a setting, or is this a Strava thing that affects everyone?

I have this problem when I have an emoji immediately following a period.  Try putting a space after the period, then the emoji.  That works for me. (This on the browser version, your results may differ.)

Thank you!  I’ll give it a try next time.  I appreciate the response.
