I understand activities using Myzone cannot sync to Strava. I understand I can connect a myzone device to an activity by selecting the heart rate icon, search for myzone device and connect. Can I do this on the Strava Apple Watch app ? Basically, when an activity has been started I’m not sure if the heart rate displayed is the rate from the myzone strap or just the Apple Watch ?

I don't use myzone myself but it appears that you just need to define which HR source Strava should use:

A simple test could also be blocking the AW sensors (put a black tape/bandaid on your wrist under the watch) and checking whether HR data still comes in.
