When ever I choose to see the Night Heatmaps, nothing is shown… And most of the activities in my city, during the week, are in the night.
This function is useless.

We reported this in
but Strava didn’t react and didn’t fix anything. Even in highly populated areas nobody rides at night according to Strava.
Hi
Sorry for the delayed response. One question - are you seeing this issue on the Mobile App, the Web, or both? I can’t reproduce this on my end, but if you can provide more information we’ll definitely dig into it. Thanks.
@Jane It’s the same in app and browser and independent from the location. An example would be San Francisco with https://www.strava.com/maps/night-heatmap?sport=Ride&style=standard&terrain=false&labels=true&poi=false&cPhotos=false&nOpacity=100#11.23/37.7274/-122.4137 where very few streets are marked (zooming in doesn’t change this):
And outside of big cities there is nothing, URL https://www.strava.com/maps/night-heatmap?sport=Ride&style=standard&terrain=false&labels=true&poi=false&cPhotos=false&nOpacity=100#13.02/52.40228/13.05238:
What is the setting for what rides are supposed to be included in the “night” heatmap? Is it after a certain set time of night or after sunset or what? That might help to determine what is going on.
Hi
Thanks for providing this info. I’m escalating this to the Maps expert on our Support Team. They will reach out to you directly for further troubleshooting.
This is still broken and it’s definitely a technical issue, I can see the following error in my browser logs:Access to fetch at 'https://heatmap-origin-k8s.strava.com/tiles-night/sport_Ride/9/256/169' from origin 'https://www.strava.com' has been blocked by CORS policy: No 'Access-Control-Allow-Origin' header is present on the requested resource
Seems like a misconfiguration of your servers, please pass this on to your technical team.
