Hi I'm not seeing my Year In Sports 2024 after updating the app. Pls help
I’m having the exact same problem. I deleted and downloaded the app, and the problem persists.
I don’t think the Year in Sport is ready yet. They are just getting you updated so that when it comes out, you will be able to see it.
Some people can see it. I get the banner to click and nothing happens; some get their year in sport reel.
Hi
Thanks for your post and sorry you’re not seeing your Year in Sport. Please work through the following 3 steps and let me know if you’re still having a problem after that:
1) Strava App is updated to v389.0
2) Try force closing the Strava app and re-launching
3) Log out of the Strava app and then log back in
I have the same issue. I have deleted and re-installed the Strava app twice. I have logged out and back in. I have deleted the app, powered off my phone, re-installed and logged back in. I can see the banner but every time I try to load it , it says “Oh no! We hit a bump.”
Same issue. It was showing for me the past couple of days but I never selected it, but today it’s no longer available. Tried all 3 suggestions from
Hello and thanks to all who have posted about this.
If you’re having trouble seeing your 2024 Year In Sport, please ensure you’ve tried the following:
1) Strava App is updated to v389.0
2) Try force closing the Strava app and re-launching
3) Log out of the Strava app and then log back in
If you’ve completed these steps and are still having an issue viewing Year in Sport, please submit a Support ticket and someone from our Team will get in touch to troubleshoot with you directly.
Maybe it’s something to do with how old your phone is?
I’ve just deleted the app and re-downloaded it and it said it will give me an older version of the app that is compatible with my iPhone - which is an old iPhone 7 running 15.8.3. So maybe that’s the problem for people who can’t see their year in sport?
A simple in-app pop-up message would solve this problem, saying your phone is too old to be compatible.
Or a #4 added to your steps above
4) You need version X or higher running XX.X.X for your iPhone or Android…
PS - have looked everywhere in the app to see what version of the app I have - finally found it - it needs its own tab for a better UX - who looks down the very bottom when everything else has it’s own tab? My version is v378.0.0 - so no Your Year in Sport for me...
Hi
Thanks for your post and sorry for any confusion. You are correct, phones that can’t support updating the Strava V389.0 will not be able to view their 2024 Year in Sport.
Thanks for your feedback also - I will pass it along to the Team.
Hi Jane, I am on Android v389.15 on Samsung S20 5G and also getting the "Oh no! We hit a bump" message. I have tried the steps above without success. Please advise. Thanks.
I have done everthing Strava support have suggested and the problem persists. Guess it is a major flaw and they are not being transparent about it. Why I pay for this app make so sense it it won’t work.
Hi
Sorry to hear you’re getting a “We hit a bump” error when trying to access your Year in Sport. We are currently investigating this issue. We have found that an uninstall/reinstall of the Strava App resolves this issue in the majority of cases.
I apologize for the hassle but would you like to give that a try?
Instructions:
Delete the Strava application from your phone. Power your device off for 10 seconds, turn your phone back on and reinstall the Strava application. You will not lose any data if you do this since all data is stored on the Strava servers.
Google Play Store:
How to update your apps on Android: Support - Google
Apple App Store:
How to update your apps on Apple: Support - Apple
Please let me know if this doesn't help.
Thanks for the suggested workaround to the ongoing issue, I have tried the steps and am still getting the "we hit a bump" error message and not able to access the year in review.
Not critical to me, I know what I did this year, but would be nice to look at.
Thx.
