I’ve only just managed to record my first ever sub 40min 10k and yet Strava is showing it as being my 2nd best time? I’ve no idea what has set my PB but it’s definitely wrong. My last run was definitely the quickest I’ve run 10k in.

On the web version of Strava, if you click on your profile (photo in the top right), you should see a list of stats down the right side.  Make sure that the run activity is selected from the little icons.  You should see a list of your “best efforts” for all of the distances.  Those times you see are clickable links that will take you to the activity where they were taken from.  If you click on that, you will see what activity it is using.  If that activity is incorrect, you can delete it or fix it as needed.

On the app (i-phone version for me), click on the “you” button in the bottom right, scroll down to where you see the “best efforts” section and click “view all your best efforts”.  From there, you can select the distance (10k) that you are looking for and it will show the top 3 results.  If you click the down arrow on each one, it will show the activity it is taken from and you can get to that activity from that point.

You can see your three best for 10k in the app in the “You” area, there is a best efforts sections and a link to all your best efforts. In the browser there is only the best for 10 k on your profile page but that would be enough to determine what the other run was that Strava deems better than your last one.
