Political polarization and division are constant and inescapable realities of life these days, and Strava is one of the few platforms that has remained mostly free from political discord. It would be nice to keep it that way. For the past few weeks I’ve been seeing constant notices in my feed that one of my follows has joined the Cyclists for Trump club. This strikes me as incredibly inappropriate and has nothing to do with what Strava is supposed to be all about. It would be just as inappropriate if the club was focused on any other political figure or cause. Politics simply doesn’t have any place here. Please get rid of any club focused on politics or political figures.

I like your idea.  It sort of reminds me of going to a specific cycling venue, like a rail trail or mountain bike park.  You leave all the "worldly" things at the gate.

I think it's a great public service that Strava helps you realise that that random person you followed after meeting them on the track is actually a RWNJ and should be avoided at all costs.

While not being a fan of political clubs at Strava… you do have a point!
