Route builder broken?

Ciao. Are you on the desktop right? Are you sure follow path/road from the menu is flagged on? Or perhaps manual mode is on?

My editor won’t record moved waypoints. When I move a waypoint it just ghosts there alone. Constant Error codes… The only reason I purchase a monthly subscription once a year is to build one route a year for a nonprofit bike club and after 9 years it looks like even that is slowly coming to an end.

Something like this can happen if waypoints are added where Strava can’t calculate a route to, but in general the route builder works as expected. When I try it with the five waypoints in the picture I get a route, of course nothing useful because of the not existing bridge between 1 and 2:

What is the error Strava gives you after you move a waypoint?

same problem here, not possible to edit, or create new bike routes.  Only dotted lines, not counting km 

I’m getting these weird errors. I’ve used strava to map for years, this is something completely new...

Was working for some time, until i switch to “Any surface type” - then suddenly all is dotted lines, even if i close my strava tap and open again.

The problem also transfers to another device  - once you have changed routing type on one device, routing will not work on another device. 

I see same problem. It worked fine when creating two routes, then at the third route I just got dotted lines instead.

Same for me. Was editing a route on my laptop by moving waypoints, then suddenly the waypoint I was editing moved , but the route didn't follow. Then when I try to create a new route on the website, it just drew dotted lines directly between the waypoints - no routing. I switched to the Strava app and try to use the pencil to start building a route, and got the message "Sorry, we couldn't build your route". Then after half an hour then problem fixed itself. Sitting right by the router, so it's not a network problem, but as the program first draws the dotted lines between waypoints, then fills in the route, wondering if it's a capacity problem , given it's a bank holiday in the UK and a sunny day, so heaps of users here will be building routes for the day 🤷

And now it's gone back to moving the waypoints without the route, and only drawing direct dotted lines between waypoints for new routes on the website. Oh dear.

I know the errors associated with Strava route making. As mentioned I have used this regularly for 9 years. This is something else. I get these errors after dragging to any location include regular street intersections.

Same problem here, Strava builder is sometimes not working anymore. Not re-routing between points.. pretty anoying

Still broken. It works for a little while, and then suddenly stops working. Works again the next day, but again stops works after a few waypoints. It has been broken like this for a week or so now.

Works exactly the same for me. So frustrating. I need to create routes and share them with other runners in my club, but now I can't.

Something is definitely wrong with the routes. Since today, all my routes are not visible anymore on the route page. They still exist though when calling them through a direct link. The app (Android) even crashes when navigating to my routes.

Creating a new route is also not possible. I can set the start point, but any next point I pick cannot be calculated, aven if it is just 10m away on the same road.

Guys, I'm in the middle of a big trip on which I heavily rely on Strava routes synced to my Wahoo, which is now not possible anymore. Please fix this asap!

 I can still see all my routes, but when changing them, or change route mode, problems starts. 

If this problem is not fixed soon, im considered going back to Garmin connect 

Still not fixed. Have you moved to Garmin Connect? I would recommend. 

Route planner says this on any browser for a week: 

Error: Sorry, we couldn’t complete that action. Please try plotting the point again. This can occur when routing across large distances, so try plotting more frequent waypoints that are closer together.
