Why does the app notify me about segment challenges for a sport I've never posted an activity for?

There's a difference between 'challenges' and 'segment challeneges'?
Yes, the first are for distances, durtions or numbe rof activities and the last for segments. But as long as they don’t offer anything like free drinks at the end of the segment it’s not much worth.
