When I am in the USA, Strava will show City & State on US-based activities, but when I’m outside the USA it will only show City & Country of a US-based activity.  Many municipality names exist in multiple states.  For example, living in New England, I see activities from “Hopkinton, RI’, “Hopkinton, MA”, and “Hopkinton, NH”, but when traveling outside the country, those activities simply show up as “Hopkinton, USA”, which really is not helpful at all.   When overseas, I would like to see, for example “Hopkinton, RI, USA”.

I noticed the same issue exists in Canada, where I see the province name only when I’m in Canada, and when I was in Ireland, I could see the county names only until I left the country.  Whatever the political subdivisions used in a country (e.g., state, province, county), it would be real helpful to see these on activities without having to be physically in that country at that time.

Ciao. I don't know if this will work. You can give a look to the question below that is very similar to your idea. Strava takes this kind of info from OpenStreetMap

Hello @Jeff_W

Thanks for posting about this! The location information you see on your activity page is sourced from OpenStreetMap. You can learn more about how Strava uses OpenStreetMaps and how to submit changes to OpenStreetMaps here.
