Start Strav at home to get shareable tracking link but start is actually elsewhere

Can I start Strava (Hit RECORD) at home and get the track me link to share

Share the link to people on the car ride to the Start line

and then at the Start of the race hit  PLAY/Start/Record arrow button and it will start my Run at the actual starting line or will it revert back to home location where I first hit Record?? I want to Start and share at home - get that out of the way and then just only have to hit the Play Button right at start of Race - 63rd JFK 50 11.22.2025
