When viewing a map on a desktop, if there are many segments, scrolling down to check them causes the map and elevation profile to move out of view, making it difficult to track their positions and elevation. To improve usability, the map and elevation profile should remain sticky while scrolling through the segments, ensuring they stay visible for better reference.

Currently, as a workaround, I have to zoom out to keep both the map and elevation profile in view while reviewing the segments.

Couple of quick mockups:

Segments area scrolls while the rest of the view is sticky

You can go through all the segments in the list and still see their position and elevation on the right side of the screen

Thanks for your thoughts. I've tagged this post as Product Feedback, so it can be reviewed and discussed by our Team.

Of course it is to be welcomed that feedback is answered here and forwarded. But I just can't understand why such an obvious problem even exists and needs to be addressed by users.

Hey @Jane any update on this one? This is delivering a very poor experience. I’m paying for a subscription and I would expect to have basic things like seeing a segment in a map…

@od3rf  This is not a bug, only a not existing feature. Furthermore nobody has promised you anything. It is very very seldom that Strava modifies something based on a feedback so it would be better to tone down the expectations to “Probably it will never be implemented” like most of the other suggestions users have made in this hub.

+1 for the original post.  I thought I was the only one having this problem and it is crazy that Strava does not work properly here.

Strava people - please fix this!
