When I ride on my remote eastern Nevada ranch where there is off and on phone coverage Strava has challenges keeping track of my riding.  Example, I may start out with GPS and then Strava finds phone service and it switches.  This is an off and on going process while i ride my bike.  Today Strava was off by over 7 miles.  This makes it tough to appreciate my ride and progress.  Any thoughts appreciated.  Thanks. 

Hi ​@Wildhorseranch, is this a new issue with the latest app update or was it always that way? In the latter case I fear the Strava app is not suitable to record rides in your area because it relies on exact location services. The alternatives depends on if riding is bike riding for you or according to your name on horses. For bikes you could install a speed sensor but as the Strava app doesn’t support them and I’m not sure if Strava accepts distance and speed data that where uploaded from other phone apps to Strava you would have to buy a head unit or watch for recording too.
