This news seems to be circulating on a few major cycling outlets.

Just being pedantic I had to go and check some local MTB climb segments ( regular cycling ) which are notorious for being abused by e-bikers.  I found no change. KOM is still an e-biker and the next 20 riders are also.

Has anyone else checked to see if this is real news based on actually delivered results?

Have you tried flagging the rides you believe are e-bike rides?  There used to be a lot on the leaderboards where I am at, but over some time myself and a couple others were able to get most of them cleaned up.  Flagging is really easy, just a little frustrating because you are limited to 10 per 24 hour span.

I am fully aware of the flag function and have been diligently trying to clean the leaderboards for years but gave up.

My post poses the question as to whether others have seen improvements/corrections to

leader boards as per the media statement. Not how to clean leaderboards…

what have you seen?

I haven’t seen any changes here, but that is likely because we have already cleaned up the leaderboards and I did not know of any e-bike rides that were near the top of any of the ones I keep an eye on.  In recent times, I have seen a lot better automatic detection keeping the e-bike and other activities that do show up down to a small number.  There was a period of time where it was a little overzealous, tagging a number of my own and my friends mtb race files as e-bike rides when they were fully legit, but that seems to have backed off since then.
