I'd like to share a suggestion that has been bothering me and that I believe could improve the experience of many users, especially those who, like me, have been using Strava for a long time.

Strava's motto states that "Kudos is all that matters," and I understand that Kudos are an essential form of interaction and recognition within the platform. However, the recent change in how Kudos are displayed—from an ordinal count to a percentage—has reduced the clarity and transparency of this system.

When Kudos were displayed as ordinal numbers on https://labs.strava.com/kodos/, it allowed for a more direct and understandable comparison of an activity's impact within the community. Today, by showing percentages instead, this interaction feels less precise, and the true meaning of Kudos becomes diluted. It can even give the impression that there is an attempt to obscure the reality that, in many cases, amateur athletes receive more Kudos than professional athletes.

I understand that the "Kudos Lab" may be an experimental project and subject to changes or discontinuation, but it holds significant historical value for many Strava users. It would be great if there were a way to return to the ordinal ranking of Kudos or, at the very least, allow users to choose how they would like to view them.

Nowadays, with the popularity of social networks like Instagram, where numbers and "likes" are prominently displayed, maintaining transparency in Kudos counting could be a way to highlight the value of what we are doing as a community without hiding this reality.

I believe this change would help keep individual recognition and interaction more transparent, which is one of the platform's greatest appeals.

I would love to know if this suggestion could be considered, and I am available to provide more details or discuss it further.

Thank you in advance for your attention and for Strava’s continuous evolution!

Hello @Nicolau H Trevisan

Here you can see the Total Kudos received and given, along with the receiver and giver rank percentage, and lastly your Kudos score.

We appreciate your feedback and it has been passed on to the proper team.

Thank you!

Yes, I know that. What I mean is that in the past the Receiver Rank was an ordinal number (1°, 2°, 3°...) and not a percentage (1% ???).Think about it, what's the point of a ranking if we don't know who or how the users are classified????
