Hello, I want a segment illegaly created on my private property to be suppressed from Strava.

I created reports and filed a complaint versus Strava but nothing has been done so far by Strava…

Could you please help ?

Hi @Mamopi,

if flagging the segment hasn't helped, then probably the only option is to contact Strava Support as described here:

https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216917777-How-Do-I-Contact-Strava-Support

Please note - they're currently overloaded with tickets so the response times are rather longer, but they'll get to you eventually.

I hope you’ll be able to resolve this soon, it must be quite an unpleasant situation...

Hello @Jana_S, thank you for your answer.

However, I have already contacted Strava support a long time ago but they have not suppressed it despite the fact that users illlegaly trespassing my property are in danger.

Is there any supranational moderator which could demand Strava to suppress it in line with European regulations ?

As Jana mentioned, flagging the segment as dangerous would be the first thing to do, did you do that? If there is a regulation at all that can be applied to the sole existence of segments I’m not sure, after all it’s just openly available map data. That would be something only your lawyer could determine. For Strava it would be difficult to discern if they have something to do.

Hello @Jan_Mantau yes I did.

Yes there is, in France, an illegal trespassing of a private property is punished by the law.
I filed a complaint to the police authorities which I sent to Strava but nothing happened, it is hard to understand how Strava can consider itself as above the law...

I don’t know if Strava sees it that way, after all their segment didn’t trespass, some people did and those could that do even without a segment. Maybe Strava will delete the segment after some time, their support has a many week long back log currently.

Strava isn’t doing anything illegal.  They aren’t “above the law” in any way.  The individuals chose to trespass and that is an issue between you, them, and the local authorities.
