Hello,

I have been updating my activities (changing the activity type from “Ride” to “Mountain Bike Ride”), but when I click Save, Strava does not update the activity.  I would estimate that this happens in 1/3 of the updates.

After I change an activity I have to verify that the change was made.  Sometimes I have to edit an activity multiple times for the change to be saved.

I have been having this issue for a long time (a year or more) so it is not related to the recent AWS outage.

This issue occurs on both the app and web. 

Has anyone else had this problem?  Has anyone reported it to Strava?  Am I doing something wrong?

Did you wait long enough before refreshing the activity in the browser or reopening the activity in the app? Changing sport types can take some time.

Thanks for the suggestion, Jan_Mantau.  I tested your theory and waited 5 minutes after changing the activity type, but it still had the old value.  I had to change it twice for the new value to take effect.
