I often see on Leader board segments that I'm outside the top 10, but the place on the board says 5th or 6th or similar. Why? I've checked it by "this year" or age or weight or men only etc, and on none of the refined boards am i in 6th.

@Gordon

It means, in percentage terms, that you're in the top 2 of all people who completed this segment.

For example; If 1,000 people completed this segment and you have the 22nd fastest time, you're in the top 2%. If you have the 400th fastest time, you're in the top 40%.

That's clearer for you?

It's a display bug. What @Sander11 says is correct, about the percentile. If you mean the actual placement - I've noticed that sometimes the first digit is missing, and instead of 16 it shows 6, for example. Not sure why, and it's quite random...

Yeah, I get the percentile thing, but in the above screenshot, both the actual position and the percentile are wrong, and showing better than they should be. I see this regularly, so assume it's a widespread display bug if that's what's causing it...

Could you take a look on the Strava website for that segment and report what your rank is there and how many athletes have participated?
