Welcome back to Wisdom Wednesday! Every other Wednesday we'll drop a question in the Community Hub. You then have 9 days (that's until the following Friday) to showcase your Strava knowledge and answer the question.

Question: Why is my Segment not showing on the leaderboard?

Remember to submit your answer in the comments by May 3rd. The winner will be randomly selected from the correct answers to win a free one-month Strava subscription! 🙌

The lucky winner will be announced on May 8th.

  1. If the segment in question starts or ends within a hidden portion of your activity the effort will not be placed on public leaderboards.
  2. If the activity is visible to only you or your followers, the segment efforts will not appear on segment leaderboards.
  3. The activity may be flagged.

The activity must be visible to everyone

As I don't see a winner, may I ask if this contest still open for entry? If so, I want to pose these two possibilities:
1.) The segment may have been deleted from the system altogether. (The segment creator has the ability to do this at any time. I was victimized by this a couple of times when I got KOM's and a day or so later the segment vanished and my KOM along with it!)
2.) The segment may have been flagged as dangerous. The leaderboard isn't displayed until you agree to a waiver. For more info, see: https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216918217-Flagging-a-Segment-as-Hazardous
