From the related help article, it seems that this option is supported from Apple's side - so it’s up to Strava to implement it:

Honestly if this doesn’t get added soon I’ll probably cancel the paid Strava sub in favor of Apple Health

If Strava isn’t able to add support for them I’m gonna have to switch to apple health
