I noticed something strange last week where my PR on a Segment didn’t appear properly on a Leaderboard (an inferior time was there instead).  I didn’t take a lot of notice, but today I see something similar on another Segment.  There is a Segment near where I live that I have attempted many times (over 100).  A couple of days ago I noticed that my PR was 1:01 and I was 47th out of 2358.  Today I looked and it still says my PR is 1:01 but the performance used in the Leaderboard is 1:09, for 199th.  I’m not aware of anything I might have done to cause this change.  I can only assume that something must have happened to the Activity (from 2020) where I did the 1:01, such as it now being flagged as “Private” or falling within the visibility exclusion zones at the start or end of the ride - I checked both these and the 1:01 Activity can be seen by “Everyone” and there is no visibility exclusion zone.  Is something else happening that is causing this apparent corruption on the Leaderboard ?  This particular Segment is not of great significance, but if this phenomena cannot be easily explained it would knock my confidence in the validity of other Segment Leaderboards.  The relevant Segment is number 1139760.  Here’s a screenshot…

I have no explanation. 

This sort of sounds similar to what I had happen late last week.  A segment that I had the KOM on suddenly showed my time that got me the KOM on the leaderboard, but it was not showing me as having the KOM anymore.  It was registering my 2nd best effort down in 10th place.  In this case, I was actually visibly shown on the leaderboard twice but the top time was not being treated as the KOM when it should have been. I submitted a ticket to Strava and they were able to fix it, but they didn’t say what the problem was that caused it.  I am wondering if there is something going on in their database that is corrupting the files.  Mine was from 2021.

I may have solved the problem - I used the Action of “Refresh my results” (top right of the Segment page) and my results now show as I would want 😀

​@Ian11 - That is good to hear.  Maybe it is a different issue than what I ran into.  I did that with no change, so had to wait for support to address it.  

I had this issue and the refresh my results didn't fix it. I had to go to the individual activity and edit the map visibility as if you’re within a hidden area on your settings it will not show the effort on the leaderboard 

Unfortunately this still seems to be a problem.  I recently opened a Segment (number 992205) on my laptop and it correctly showed me in position 26 (out of about 1500) with a time of 1:25…

 

I then refreshed the page with my web browser and my position changed to 101 with a PB of 1:38, even though the PB in the top right still correctly shows 125.  I have tried the Action of “refresh my results” several times but the displayed information is still incorrect...

 

 

I have seen similar things today with at least 10 other Segments.  The Activities associated with the PBs are not Private or Flagged.  Can someone from Strava please explain what is going wrong (and fix it).
