A friend of mine can't login to his Strava anymore and we think it is because of an inappropriate comment (joke) from his account to mine, that was reported. He did not receive any message of being banned or suspended but still can't login. Is there any way to discern being temporarily suspended from being perma banned? I can still see his account and activities but he gets a message of not being authorized to login when he tries it.

Hi @Casper_B, we can't answer this question here at the community hub but you can file a ticket - appeal:

Problem is he can't appeal, because there is no case number, because there was no notification of a ban or a suspension

Oh - this should create a ticket too. But I see that the case# is a mandatory field in that form, which makes it a catch-22-ish kind of loop… so perhaps first switch the form type from “Appeals” to “Login and Account Access”, that should allow creation of a ticket without actually already having a ticket, and only then continue with the appeal..?

Yes, done that already :). Any idea if something like this is normally resolved? I guess it is against the ToS but it was quite innocent really. If anything, a (permanent) ban seems a bit harsh. Especially without notifying the banned person. Isnt it stravas policy to notify someone when banning them?

Have they looked to make sure a notification wasn’t sent to their spam/junk folder?

Yes already checked, nothing at all
