Steps to reproduce:

  • iOS, Chrome mobile browser
  • log into your Strava account
  • top-right corner menu > Clubs
  • tap any of the clubs from the list
  • expected result: club page opens
  • actual result: immediately after the club page loads, it redirects you as if you weren't logged in (message "Want to run with us? Download Strava to connect with athletes in this club and track your workouts, races and adventures.” and the orange "Join Strava” button)

notes:

  • reproducible with any club (both those that I own or don't)
  • reproducible also with Safari
  • it’s not actually logging me out, when I go back to the dashboard I can browse my timeline etc; it rather seems that the Club landing page somehow doesn't recognise that the user is logged in

Update: I’ve checked again. I’m not sure whether anything has changed; the "Want to run with us?” message still pops up - but it appears it only (!) completely covers the page, but it's possible to scroll down to actually view the club. I can't tell 100% whether this was possible when I first reported this.

In the other words, the club page isn't completely blocked (which is good), but the "Want to run with us?” message still appears and makes it look like the club page isn't accessible (which is bad UX).
