100% reproducible. Uploading a rowing activity correctly shows the distance in meters. Editing the workout changes it to miles. It also changes the workout type from rowing to workout. 
 

solution: workaround that’s also 100% reproducible: change the workout type to anything else and save. Then change it back to rowing and save. Miles are changed back to meters.
