I can see the activity description, small map and any media media uploaded on everyone’s activity on my feed screen. But when I press the map to get to the map screen I cannot see the map. All I see is the line of the route with no underlying map. There’s just a blank white screen under the route. And don't have duckduckgo or similar because most topics said it was that.

To simply verify if that can be the case, try logging into the Strava app from another device (e.g. from another phone, tablet etc). If the maps work correctly there, then it means that there's something on your phone conflicting with Strava.
if this doesn't help, you might want to specify what device / operating system you're using, what security / traffic controlling apps you have installed, and any other relevant information.

+29Do you have the option to try logging in via another device? E.g. on a tablet or a friend's phone. Just temporarily for testing/troubleshooting purposes, you’d log out right after checking how the maps behave there. It's just to exclude or confirm the theory that there could be something conflicting with Strava on your phone.
