Is it possible to disable everything goal related? It seems incessant lately. I signed up and pay for an app to record my activities. I couldn't care less about the screen wasting goal suggesting and constant artificial validation.
Hey
You’re able to swipe the suggest goal away, but that only removes the suggestion.
Currently, there isn’t a way to disable the suggestions.
However, thank you for providing this feedback.
I’ve passed this to my team for consideration.
Thanks Bryant. I know I’m coming in a little hot on this one, but for someone who’s been running for 30 years, it comes across as patronizing. We’re not all newbies and don’t need the little clapping hands every time we do something. Sometimes less is more.
I second that.
I would also like to remove the Suggested Goal banner which constantly spams the top half of the app page
Following this as it's really annoying me that it can't be disabled
Yet another feature that you cant turn off. Just like the annoying "Edit recent activity" popup that’s just terrible.
Make features opt in and inform when they arrive instead. Please
I just updated the Strava app just to see this suggested goal crap. Nothing surprising, I am used to app updates introducing annoying ‘features’ that can’t be disabled. I have auto updates of all apps disabled and always make local backup APK of installed app before updating. Once again I am glad I do this. Easy roll back, no more annoying suggested goal crap.
I also want it gone. Waste of screen space on my phone. Goals and AI nonsense.
I agree with everybody else commenting on these “features”. I don’t even like the “local legend” stuff. A bit of a wank imo.
If you’re going to keep adding these things at least give us users the ability to opt out or disable them.
so it looks like there has been no headway on suggested goals. I too would like to have this removed. I’m also
wondering if anyone out there enjoys this or find it useful in any way?
I absolutely agree with everyone here!
Please, Strava, allow us to turn off the incessant goals and challenges and personal records and all the other crap. If people like that, fine. But for the rest who find it worthless allow us to disable it.
It really is getting more incessant and I am rethinking my subscription.
All the fake validation to get you to engage with their so called AI is nauseating. To suggest a training regime when they have no way of knowing if you’re injured or sick, how you’re eating, how you’ve slept, how much you’re doing that is not recorded, etc, etc, is beyond me. But, I guess if the middle of the bell curve drinks the snake oil, they’ll keep pushing it.
For the rest of us - please - allow us to turn it off
