Hi, I have downloaded routes then when I open the app offline it just says "you don't have any routes downloaded for offline use. your saved routes will be visible once you're back online". I have tried uninstalling the app, powering off my phone then reinstalling the app but the issue still persists. Any suggestions please?

Hello @wshaw312

Thanks for posting about this and sorry to hear of the issue.  Firstly, I want to make sure you're aware that once you do a reinstall of the App, it may be necessary to re-download any offline routes.

Secondly, can you confirm you're following the 2 step process to download the route? Once you open the saved route and press the "offline" button, the second step is to select the "download route" button (see below)

Please let us know if this is still not working for you.

Hi Jane, thanks for your suggestion but that still doesn't work. Please see this video recording of what happens when I download a route, switch off my Internet connection and then try to start that downloaded route: https://youtube.com/shorts/opoeDXTyCoE?feature=share

Many thanks

Hello @wshaw312

Thanks so much for getting back to me and sending that video. We've tried to reproduce that on both Android and IOS and weren't able to.

Can you confirm you're on the most recent version of the App, and also let me know if you're on Android or IOS? If you're App isn't updated, please update and try again, and let me know the results.

Thanks for your patience.

I'm having the same issue with offline routes. As soon as I turn offline, the routes I have previously downloaded don't show up...

I am having the same issue as well. I will check to see if the app needs updating.

We’re literally paying for this app, and offline routes still don’t work — how is that acceptable?

I have the same problem and got the subscription specifically for the use of offline maps. I'm in a foreign country and need this feature. I've contacted the support email address, sent a message on Instagram, tried the chat bot, nothing works. Very frustrating.

I’ve tried to reproduce this in the iOS app and got some interesting results.

I’m using the beta version on my phone - currently it’s v. 414.0.0 (so one version ahead of production/public). I could reproduce the bug with this version - build 48310. After downloading a route and switching to airplane mode, I’d just see the “No Downloaded Routes” message.

Then I’ve noticed that a new build is available since last night (48311). I tried updating and then checked again - the previously downloaded route became available! So I tried another, again switched to airplane mode, and now also the latest downloaded route got available.

So for anyone experiencing this issue, please try with v. 414 as soon as it's published in the AppStore, it seems that Strava releases new updates approximately once a week, so hopefully it will be soon.

I have v414 and still have this problem.

I have the same problem and got the subscription specifically for the use of offline maps. I'm due to be on a climbing expedition to the Himalaya next week….have looked up and tried several solutions listed on the net... but nothing works. Very frustrating.

Having the same exact problem. I am leaving in two days, please solve this!
