Hi Strava community,

I am pretty new to running, only starting in April of this year. I have made many silly mistakes so far, but the biggest (tracking wise) has been using the Run-GPS when using a treadmill. I did this for about 2 weeks before realizing the impact it had. I’d like these runs to not count towards my PBs/PRs but still be in my activity feed/overall totals. I have seen a few options from my searches such as flagging them, or changing them to ‘workouts’ instead of ‘runs’, but I’m concerned it would mess with my numbers.

So, please let me know what would be the best course to keep my mileage and number of runs, but exclude these from my personal bests.

Thanks so much!

Hi @KyleDoherty,

in the mobile app, go to tab You > tap your profile picture in top left > scroll a bit down and tap Best Efforts. At that screen, you can go through distances and view your top 3 efforts for each; if there's an incorrect one, tap the down-arrow at that effort (top-right) and then Remove Effort. It will not remove the activity itself, only the personal best.

Hi @Jana_S, the Best Efforts screen is only accessible to paid subscribers. Is there no way to remove errant PB/PR entries without deleting the activity for free users?

I would love to delete my 400m Pr from 2020 that was set due to bad GPS.
I can’t delete the activity as there is sentimental value. Please do let me know!

@DocSatrn I’m afraid I don't have any other advice. The only idea would be - you could start a free 30-day trial of the premium version, that would give you access to all the subscription features, just remember to cancel in time to avoid being charged automatically when the trial period ends.

@Jana_S sadly I have already used the free trial!
I would hope that strava themselves would provide a way, alas not!
Thanks regardless

@DocSatrn you could yet try and contact Strava Support (this community hub is a  discussion forum of users like yourself) - https://support.strava.com/hc/en-us/articles/216917777-How-Do-I-Contact-Strava-Support

Perhaps they could exclude the effort for you, but be patient & persistent, the first response will probably be telling you to go to this hub; you'll need to reply to that saying that you still need assistance, and then in a week or two they hopefully get back to you.
