Just some general feedback- I'm sure many love the increased monthly walk challenge- I see it bumped up from 30k to 50k starting in 2025. Unfortunately, as a busy pregnant mom of a toddler I'm finding this change to have really hurt my momentum. The 30k was perfect for me to get in each month, it was challenging to hit, and kept me motivated to try and get steps in each month because some health issues have prevented me from running pregnant. The 50k goal is just not going to be attainable for someone who was not always able to make the 30k goal. I wish Strava had not removed the 30k option- it was a good distance. Why not have both? I really miss having this- it kept me engaged all thru my first pregnancy. :(
Bring back streak challenge!
It would be great to also have a 50 km cycling challenge.
in my case, I live in the North with harsh winter conditions.
We have snow and temperatures in the -20 and below. In these conditions, 100 km is often too far and too risky to attempt a century. But 50km is possible to do in about five hours at a slow, continuous pace with constant monitoring and adjusting to the cold.
So for all hose cycling through the cold winter season it would be great to have this added challenge!
Thanks for your consideration and I hope you will find my suggestion worthwhile.
To management: I know it's late to ask for this... but how about another Stravalentine challenge? https://www.strava.com/challenges/stravalentines-day-challenge-ride You could offer some kind of promo to new and existing subscribers! (Some of us are putting up with a lot of tech glitches. You can make up for it.) How 'bout it?
Hi
Thanks for your suggestion! We’re consolidating all Challenge type requests in this thread so our Team can review them in one place. Thanks again.
Strava could create the "Half Gran Fondo" Challenge. Many athletes do not have time to cycle 100km, but 50km is a more real distance to reach.
