I want to be able to share a several flyovers to non Strava users. In the android app Flyover is being offered as a choice when I hit the share activity button. So map visibly is being set correctly, otherwise the option will not show.
When a recipient tries to open my shared link they get the message - “This activity could not be found. It was either deleted or is private.” If I open it the link when logged in to my account it works.
I am puzzled by the inconsistent instructions in this forum, in the Strava help and elsewhere describing what is needed to get this to work. Yesterday I was seeing my shared Flyovers open for others without Strava accounts even with Individual activity visibility = Followers. Instructions say this should not work but it did.
I have set
Activity Permissions
- Individual activity visibility = Everyone.
- map visibility = Everyone
General Permission
- Profile page = Followers
- Activities = Followers
- Flybys = everyone
Do I really have to open my entire account to everyone? Setting my Profile Page and Activities = everyone to get this to work? If so, that is a poor trade-off and I would never share a flyby.
