Why is there no option to hide the device used to record the activity?

Garmin has recently made the device attribution mandatory... 🤷♀️ The device has always been displayed in the activity details, now it's only in a more prominent position in the summary.

Strava could throw a cat between the pigeons by actually adding an option to hide device under privacy settings. There will be a lot of backlash if Garmin forced Strava to disobey privacy settings.
They could also something like available to everyone except Garmin users if legally it becomes an issue.
