inaccurate times in "this week" highlight on my profile

I recorded 2 rock climbing sessions last week: one for 1h 21m and one for 1h 27m, however when I look under "Rock Climb" in the "This week" section of my profile, it says I only did 56m of rock climbing. I have a similar problem with the week before.

I'm wondering if this has to do with the fact that I just got a new Garmin watch and started recording these activities as a "workout" on the watch and and then switching them to "rock climb" once they have uploaded to Strava.

Hello @greenbeanluvr

Thanks for posting about this. There's a couple of things I would recommend you check:

1) When you record with your new Garmin watch in workout mode, is it recording GPS data? If it is, then Strava will calculate a moving time based on that. For an activity like rock climbing where you are moving upwards at a slow pace, that calculation will not be accurate.

2) if that's the case, check to see what moving time is shown on those two rock climbing activities you mention. I suspect if you add those 2 values together, you'll find it equates to the 56 minutes of time you're seeing on your weekly graph. If a moving time is available for an activity, that will be shown on the weekly graph instead of elapsed time.

For future recordings, I would recommend turning off GPS recording on your Garmin device, you could also contact Garmin and find out if there's a particular activity type they recommend you use to record rock climbing with on their devices:

Let me know if that's helpful!
