I'm experiencing a recurring issue on the Strava mobile app (Android). When I tap into an activity—either my own or someone else's—the map sometimes fails to display. This doesn’t happen every time, but often enough to be noticeable. If I exit the activity view and re-enter, the map typically loads properly on the second attempt.

Device info:

  • Phone model: Pixel 7

  • Android 15

  • Strava app version: 409.9

Additional notes:

  • Issue occurs on both Wi-Fi and mobile data.

  • No error message appears; the map section is simply not shown. Slide down with finger doesn’t work.

  • Reproducing it is inconsistent, but it happens roughly r5]% of the time.

  • See attachments. You’ll notice the one that doesn’t show the map doesn’t have the down arrow in the top left, so it’s not available to swipe down to reveal the map.

Ciao @JoelWaters. It seems the same issue experienced by an user recently. It has been solved re-installing the app. Have you already tried it?

I just tried your suggestion Vincenzo and still experience the issues. The most common way this occurs is when I select a notification, where I can see a map and the discussion, then when I click into the activity from there, usually the activity loads with everything except the map/photos.
