Recently I’ve noticed my iPhone Strava app no longer labels peaks on any maps. I try POI layer on vs. off, 2D vs. 3D, Hybrid/Satellite vs. standard, the Maps tab at the bottom vs. activity maps.
Anyone else experiencing this too? What happened?

Ciao @derekwright. Are you referring to the peak as POI or just to the mountain name?

In the past a green marker with mountain name + elevation would be shown when the POI layer was active. That doesn’t seem to be the case anymore for me. Wondering if others are seeing this too.

I’ve been having the same issue for months. Effectively makes Strava entirely useless for hiking and is totally unacceptable for a maps app.

The same applies to Android app! This is a huge omission! Most of trail running involves running on mountain terrain. Most of people I follow run on mountain terrain too. Not having peak names on the map makes it much harder to figure out what routes others have taken or to plan my own routes.

Also, I should add that visibility of trails on the map is generally poor due to choice low contrast colors and that many if not most trails don't have names visible too!

Does anyone know what is the reason for it? It is very annoying, without the peaks name on the maps is much harder to figure out the route or just orienteering...
