Strava added the flyover option for sharing a few months ago, and now it seems to be the default share option. If I want to share just the map version of the activity to Instagram, it changes it to portrait orentiation and cuts off large parts of the activity, making it unusable. It used to share the map version of the activity as a square on the Instagram story. Both my apps are updated to the current version. How can I share just the map version of the activity and have it look like normal? Is there a way to set the map version as my default share option? I generally don’t want to share the flyover/video version of my activity.

Boa tarde. Tudo bem?

Eu não consigo compartilhar minhas atividades no instagram e nem no WhatsApp. Já tentou de todas as formas. Me ajudem ;(

Hi @jason.schubert.859,

The issue with the map pic aspect ratio being changed (and parts of the map missing) was reported by multiple users. I was asking moderators about this, they mentioned that the Strava developers are aware of the problem and are working on a fix. So, hopefully it's going to work correctly soon, fingers crossed!

Hi @Ana Paraguassu,

it seems that you’ve posted your question as a comment to an unrelated thread - if Google Translate gave me the right meaning of your question, you’re saying that you can't share your activities to Instagram or WhatsApp.
To be able to share any activity:

  1. Only activities recorded with GPS can be shared with a map or image with stats. This means that you won't be able to share stationary activities, indoor activities, or manually created activities.
  2. The activities' privacy controls must be set to "Followers" or "Everyone."

I believe I have found a workaround.

  1. In Strava, save your flyover to Instagram Stories.
  2. Give it some time to upload to instagram.
  3. in Instagram, access your stories.
  4. Click the … more link.
  5. Click “Share As Post”, like normal.
  6. Delete the story, the post will remain.

I am on an Android and my instagram story share feature is just totally gone-- it was there Saturday and when I went to share yesterday all that popped up was “direct” and today it shows nothing-- it only shares the link! Anybody know how to fix?

I’m not sure how to do it in Android. I would assume, you know how that goes, it would be very similar unless the Android interface with Instagram Stories is broke at this time.
