I just tried it on a trail run today, which recorded 21.68km on my watch, and Strava changed it to 21.61km, so it seems to be working?
Not working correctly for me - it has always worked in the past, but my last two runs were way off, and correct distance function didn’t work. I have my app set for exact location - nothing was changed. Bummer
I haven’t had any really bad gps run lately so I can't test this properly myself, anyway I’ve tried to trigger the Correct Distance feature on a regular run, and the distance didn't change at all. It's a ~12k run on a kind of route that would usually show some slight difference if recalculated, so I’d say the feature indeed stopped working…
I’ve asked the moderators to have a look and to bring this up with the engineers, hopefully we'll get some feedback soon. This is a super useful feature, it definitely needs to get fixed!
Hello Everyone,
Thank you for bringing this to our attention.
I’ll relay your reports to my team for further investigation.
Once I receive an update, I’ll be sure to return to confirm whether this is a known issue or not.
Again, thank you all for your patience & cooperation.
Hello Everyone,
I can confirm this is a known issue.
Once I get word of a workaround or resolution I’ll be sure to return to this thread.
Update - it seems to have worked with my today's run (22.42 changed to 22.57)
Update - tried today. It didn’t record ½ of my walk and allows selection to correct but then nothing and doesn’t allow any update to the distance. Only thing that changes is drop down selection changes to “Revert Distance”
"Correct distance" isn't working correctly for me either
@KCJohnson5 - I would be more concerned with why it missed half of your walk in the first place. What are you using the record the activity? Do you have it set to auto-pause where it might not be re-starting or thinking you are still “paused” because you aren’t moving fast enough? Could the device be in a bag or pocket where it isn’t receiving a good signal?
