I’m an endurance cyclist, and I’ve noticed that Strava only counts the day I start a ride as an “active day,” even when the ride spans multiple calendar days. For endurance events that extend beyond a single day, Strava still considers it as just one active day.

This seems like a bug or a design limitation, as it doesn't accurately reflect the effort and time spent riding over multiple days. Ideally, each calendar day that includes recorded activity should be counted as an active day to better represent multi-day endurance efforts.

Are you seeing the correct numbers of hours on the activity?

I suspect Strava is just setting the activity based on the start day.

I suppose it would be worth submitting this as an idea (feature request).

One should note though that activities from shortly before to shortly after midnight shouldn’t count as two days, so some further rules would be necessary.
