FYI, I had another attempt at Segment creation just now and things seem to be back to normal 
Maybe I replied too soon - after successfully creating a couple of new Segments a few minutes ago, I am again getting the “Strava is unavailable” message

I’ve the same issue - tried a few times - latest just now so 13:18 this afternoon UK time
After my latest attempt I got a message saying I have created or edited too many Segments and now have to wait 7 hours before I try again. I think I have created 4 Segments today. My recollection is that the daily limit was 25, although it’s been a few years since I reached it. Not sure if this is an intended new limit or some glitches.
@Ian11 - It may be counting your attempts that ran into errors as well as the ones you were successful at completing.
I’ve wasted rather a lot of time today - I’ve managed to create 4 Segments in about 20 attempts. Does anyone from Strava read these posts ? If so, do they perhaps have any comments about the problem ?
It’s been like that for 2 days. Once I got a warning saying I created too many segments or smth (when in fact no new segment appeared) and it was my first attempt. I tried again after 12h - I just keep getting the same error.
I sent mail to support two days ago, but no answer.
Today I have tried create 4 segments, only 2 succesful.
@Ian11 - If you have technical support issues, consider submitting a ticket through the regular Strava website. Unfortunately, it is taking long for them to get back to people there from what I have heard, but that would probably be the best place to get more specific information on the problem you are encountering. Just out of curiosity, why are you making so many new segments all at once? I’ve made a good number myself over the years but never have had a need to make more than a few at any one time and even that is rare. I’m always interested to see how others are using the platform.
@anchskier - I’m trying to create 6 or 7 Segments. A couple are on new routes that I attempted for the first time recently and a couple are intended replacements for old Segments I created a while ago and that I notice had some GPS drift (obviously I’ll delete these old Segments if I ever get the new ones created)
I’m still having a frustrating time trying to create Segments. It’s surprising that Strava don’t seem to monitor their own forum

Just following up, are you still experiencing this segment creation issue?
@Bryant - yes - there are still issues. It seems a new version of the Segment creator/editor was introduced a week or so ago but it was reverted to the previous version after about a day. The problems with the error message still persist but are not as bad as before - I manage to create a couple of Segments each day. There is apparently a low daily quota of new Segments - if I start early in the day (6 am) I have some success, but after an hour or so I seem to only get the error message.

It does look like you’re running into this issue because of the amount of segments you would like to create in one day.

And I am only trying to create one segment. It is on a MyWhoosh route if that is relevant.

If you don’t mind, could you submit a support ticket regarding your issue if you aren’t able to create your segment by tomorrow?
Since this is your only segment, I’m sure the support team would need more information to thoroughly investigate what is going on.
