When I start the Android app, wait for the GPS to be found (Green status), presse the start button and then put the screen to sleep with the power button, the activité is well recorded.

But if the GPS is not found or weak when I press de start button and then the power button, the activité is not recorded until I wake the screen, which is often when I finish the activity (happens mostly when I am commuting because of the topography).

Its happens more since the latest update of the recording interface, a few weeks ago.

Hi @PL3M,

what you describe sounds logical - if the GPS lock isn't obtained, Strava can't record the activity properly. If getting the GPS takes unusually long, you might want to check the following article for some troubleshooting ideas:

This happened to me too. It looked as if the GPS was fine and so I hit record. I only discovered after my ride that apparently there was an issue with the GPS as I was starting and so the ride wasn't recorded. It just seems way less obvious that it is not ready in the new screen than the old recording screen. Not an improvement in my opinion.
