Since the new map, I can't find the compass to set the north up. Where is it now?
Well I guess they did it, compass has been restored at least on Android app v 413.8. This should definitely be an announcement somewhere, even acknowledging how silly it was to roll out without this basic tool.
I’m afraid it's still missing in iOS 😢
This still appears to be an issue on iOS. I just updated to 418.0.0 and am not seeing a compass on my activities.
Also, can we please add a Setting that disables rotation altogether and locks North to Up? This would be super helpful for all the complaints I’m seeing wrt the map being very easy to accidentally rotate (and would be a welcome change for those of us that don’t like map rotation, at least in 2D mode). Thanks!
In IOS, I still don’t have a compass to reorient the map after accidentally changing the orientation.
I have automatic updates so I probably have the latest version of Strava, but I can’t find an “about” or “app version” option, so I can’t say what version of the app I am using.
I raised a ticket with strava support about this.. not really getting anywhere with it though.. so frustrating!
Latest app version running on iOS and still no compass /set north button in the maps tab
I’ve just seen there is a set north compass on the map on the record acrivity tab - but I dont use my phone to record activites so it’s pointless..
but ESSENTIAL on the regular maps tab for creating a route or navigation.
I’ve noticed today that the compass is now back also in the iOS app - hurray.
