Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and the Strava app - can the watch buttons be used instead of the screen

I have the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 and use the Strava app however everyday it frustrates me no end because it requires the screen to be used for most running functions - including a simple start and stop.  Typically I’m sweaty and therefore swiping the screen or pressing the screen buttons will not work.  Can the settings be changed to use the actual buttons of the watch instead?

Next, if you are trying to appeal to runners, I’d suggest trying to incorporate more running features… even the ability to use for interval training.

And finally, the app is often slow.

Using the watch buttons by any app is limited by what kind of mapping the specific device allows. Anyway, you can try suggesting this as an “idea”, similarly with other improvements proposals - one “idea” per post, here:
