Not the most pressing topic in the world, but here it is. On an iPhone, when you want to exit an app, you swipe up, starting from the bottom of the screen. So after starting (or looking at an in-progress) Strava ride, a user will swipe up to return to the iPhone home screen.
When a ride is started on the iPhone, the screen shows you the distance traveled and speed , and at the very bottom there is a large “Pause” button. Often, in the middle of a ride, while trying to swipe up to return to the home screen, the phone believes that I hit the “Pause” button, since the process of swiping up requires my finger to start right on top of the “Pause” button. In doing that, the ride is paused and the app is hidden from the screen at the same time, so one does not realize that the ride has been paused.
Suggestion: MOVE the PAUSE button, don’t place it at the bottom of the screen.
