Strava map view with segments filtered to “starred” is not showing anything (I have only a few of them).
(Regardless if these segments are public or private.)

Actually any filter except “All” does not show anything...

Hey @acatai,

Were you having trouble viewing from the mobile app or the website?

If on the web, can you check if you’re able to have different results under another web browser?
Also, can you check if the segment is private?

Have you double checked that you have the activity type correct?  I was confused for a couple minutes the other day when I couldn’t see some segments I expected to see only to find out that I had forgotten that the last time I was looking at the maps, I had changed to run instead of ride.  Once I switched back, it was all good.  Worth checking just in case.

@Bryant They are private, and when I add some random public one it works.

But - there is a tricky case here. When I made my private segment public it is still not visible - and I understand it should be? (that’s I was convinced before that public/private is not an issue).

@anchskier - yes I checked, thanks for suggestion, everything seems correct, I use only Ride

@Bryant - Even if I make new public segment it is not visible for me on the map, trying “All/Starred/Created” filters . Segments of others if I star them work correctly.

I checked other browser, the same.

Hey @acatai,

Thanks for confirming.
I’ll check in with my team to find out if this a known issue or not.
I will come back to this thread once I have an update.

Hey @acatai,

My team has confirmed private segments will not appear on the maps.
If you change your segment from private to public, it will take a few days for this change to appear within your maps. The same goes for created public segments.

I hope this clears up any confusion.
If you continue to experience issues with segment creation and maps, please submit a support ticket so our support team can investigate further.

Thank you so much for your patience & cooperation through this process as it is much appreciated.
I’m sure others had the same question as yourself.
Also, thank you @anchskier for double checking the activity type is correct as this plays a major role as well.

OK, thank you @Bryant this explains the thing. Especially as now, after these few days the segments are shown correctly.

However I suppose this is not a good behavior, as for someone like me, who initially planned to create a (well-designed and well-named) map of his segments, this would force to “pollute” page content with globally visible segments.

Hey @acatai,
I certainly understand your point. I’ll be sure to share this feedback with my maps team.
