Strava Beacon stopped reporting, mid-ride

Twice in the past few months Strava Beacon has suddenly stopped reporting my location to my wife.  I use a Garmin 810 to record my rides.  It appeared normal during my rides but when I downloaded to Strava it did not show the last 14 miles of my ride.  Is this a Beacon problem or a Garmin problem?  Garmin Connect also does not show the final 14 miles.  Makes my wife very concerned.

Thanks for your post and sorry for the trouble. Can you try our initial troubleshooting step of deleting and reinstalling the Strava app? Our recommended instructions are below:

1. Delete the Strava application from your phone
2. Power your device off for 10 seconds
3. Turn your phone back on
4. Reinstall the Strava application 

Note: You will not lose any data if you do this since all data is stored on the Strava servers.
